Behind Afrika Consultancy is half Zambian-Zimbabwean Florence Charamba Christensen who has been living in Denmark since 1998. She has a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from De Montfort University and has been providing business consultancy services to Nordic companies and institutions operating both locally and in Sub Saharan African markets since 2011. Florence has so far worked on diverse projects and tasks, ranging from CSR, Liaison, Partner Allocations, Feasibility Studies, Strategy Solutions, to Business Development as a whole. In addition, she has an entrepreneurial mind-set and enjoys working in start-up environments. Her entrepreneurial mind-set first showed at age 22 in Zimbabwe when she assisted her mother to develop an Industrial cleaning company which grew from 8 employees to 51 within a year. This experience within start-up environments was further enhanced in Denmark, through working for the then start-up companies like NOIR – a Danish high-end clothing company for women, Mater – a Danish high-end furniture company and most recently, Little Sun GmbH – a global project and social business making solar products for off-grid areas around the world. In addition, Florence has had two companies of her own; a Home Accessories business with designs made in Denmark and Germany but produced in South Africa (Paarl) and Zimbabwe (Harare),  and a Macadamia Processing Plant in Zimbabwe (Chipinge), structured to process and export macadamia nuts to overseas markets, including the Nordic region. Keen on unlocking European markets to quality African exports and connecting the two worlds for sustainable business partnerships, Florence works closely with highly qualified local strategic partners with experience from both African and European markets. They cover countries like Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
